Our managing partner Michael Reid does most of his walking in pursuit of a little white ball. Now though, at the ripe old age of 60, he’s taken on a challenge that’s rather more demanding than his usual 18 holes. Michael and a group of friends and supporters from his Masonic Lodge will tackle Ben Nevis on 31st August, raising funds for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.

Michael’s Lodge, Aberdeen No.1 Ter, is one of the oldest in the country, with a history dating back to 1670. The ascent on Scotland’s highest mountain is part of a programme of charitable and other events marking the Lodge’s 350th anniversary.

Chest, heart and stroke conditions account for 40% of all adult deaths in Scotland, and more people than ever are living with these life-limiting illnesses. Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland is active in research and campaigning, and does wonderful work in supporting sufferers and their families, with the goal of ‘no life half lived’. If you’d like to help Michael and his pals, visit the JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/rory-forbes1 and pledge a donation. Your gift will encourage the Hilltop Heroes on to the summit - and could make a real difference to the lives of thousands of Scots.

Donations welcome
